Edward A. Keenan Jr. was born in 1920 and grew up in Burlington, Vermont. Following his graduation from the University of Vermont in 1942 and the UVM College of Medicine (with a commission as Army 2^nd Lieutenant) in 1944, he married fellow 1944 UVM graduate Ione Lacy. In 1947 they opened a new medical practice in Brandon, and in 1951 moved to Essex Junction, which they were proud to call “home” for the rest of their nearly 67 years together.
