Truly a joy to read about so many different aspects of the game, from the Kid from Flin Flon to the kid from Buffalo and how their love of the sport helped them (perhaps) stubbornly carve their own niche within it.
I think this could be a great gif|About the Author|BRIAN KENNEDY was born in Montreal and spent much of his hockey-playing youth in Ontario. He went to school in the U.S. in 1981 and gained a PhD in English, before ending up in L.A. and teaching at Pasadena City College. A freelance sports write
