Hanscom|Mr Soar has written another in depth book for all those who love the longbow and it's history. This book deals quite adeptly with how the longbow was used after it's famous Medieval hey day. How it turned from a national weapon of war to a sporting weapon that also brought many people together in socially acceptable ways. This book is a must read|About the Author|Hugh Soar is an acknowledged expert on the history of the longbow, and author of The Crooked Stick: A History of the Longbow.
