This book deals quite adeptly with how the longbow was used after it's famous Medieval hey day. How it turned from a national weapon of war to a sporting weapon that also brought many people together in socially acceptable ways. This book is a must read|About the Author|Hugh Soar is an acknowledged expert on the history of the longbow, and author of The Crooked Stick: A History of the Longbow.
